Being a mega lipstick freak, I am always on the hunt to find long-lasting lipsticks that do not cause much damage to your savings! Newly launched Jordana Cosmetics lipsticks are much raved about and are known for their pocket friendly value however let’s find out if they’re really worth the hustle.
The first thing that I must point out about this range is that there is a huge variety of shades including a few shimmery ones. Usually shimmery shades tend to have a lustre or glossy like finish so I was surprised when I found one with a matte finish.
I usually opt for pink or nude lipsticks but just to experiment this time I ordered two slightly “out-of-my-comfort-zone” shades. I also happen to be a huge sucker for berry shades as they are perfect for fall!
My lips were quite chapped so I loaded on lip balm and then dabbed it off prior to swatching the lipsticks. Blushed and Fruity punch are quite similar shades while natural has a slight coral orange hue to it. Blazing Mango and Fiery coral are gorgeous orange hues with a punch of colour. My personal favourite happens to be Sweet Sorbet which has elements of micro-glitter in it yet has a matte finish. Plum obsession is a true plum, berry shade with slightly pink undertones.
Why I love them:
- Superb pigmentation.
- Apply on very smoothly.
- Last up to 4 hours before you need to touch up again.
- I skipped lining my lips and surprisingly the shades did not bleed.
- Super duper affordable.
Why I dislike them:
- Not all the shades are true to colour such as Natural which showed up slightly orange toned.
- The packaging is not that sturdy and the lipsticks pop open when in your purse so do handle them cautiously.
All in all these lipsticks are superb for those of you looking for a variety of affordable matte lipsticks as nowadays good colour pay off comes with a steep price.
